These bite-sized appetizers combine the buttery crunch of crackers, creamy cheese filling, and warm pumpkin pie spices, making them perfect for autumn gatherings or cozy afternoons.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Crackers (whole-grain or butter crackers)
  • 8 oz (225 g) softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) pure pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp (15 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp (5 g) pumpkin pie spice
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chopped pecans (optional)
  • Fresh thyme leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, pure pumpkin puree, powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Transfer the cheese mixture into a pastry bag or Ziploc bag with the corner snipped. Pipe a dollop onto each cracker or use a spoon to spread the mixture evenly.
  3. Sprinkle chopped pecans over each appetizer for a crunch. Garnish with a tiny sprig of fresh thyme for an added aromatic touch.
  4. Place the crackers neatly on a serving platter. Add fall-themed decorations around the plate for an autumn vibe.
  5. Serve fresh or refrigerate for up to 4 hours before serving. If chilled, allow them to come to room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving.
