These creamy crack chicken sliders with bacon combine smoky bacon and cheesy chicken filling in soft slider buns for a quick, crowd-pleasing snack or meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken recommended)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or about 1 tablespoon homemade blend)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 12 small slider buns, split and toasted (Hawaiian rolls recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Optional: pinch of black pepper or garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain and crumble once cooled.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in shredded cooked chicken until well coated. Add optional black pepper or garlic powder if desired.
  4. Fold in crumbled bacon and sliced green onions gently to distribute evenly.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice slider buns in half horizontally and brush insides with melted butter.
  6. Spoon a generous amount of the creamy chicken filling onto each bottom bun half. Top with the corresponding top halves and press gently to secure.
  7. Place assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and buns are toasted.
  8. Remove from oven and let sliders rest for a minute before serving.

Notes

If the filling is too thick, add a splash of milk or chicken broth to loosen before assembling. Brush buns with melted butter before toasting to keep them crisp and golden. Let filling come to room temperature for easier spreading. Cook bacon on medium heat to avoid burning.
