Creamy Ricotta Dip with Hot Honey

  • 1 cup (250g) whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 12 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Zest of half a lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) hot honey
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or chives, optional)
  • Crackers or bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Place 1 cup (250g) of whole milk ricotta into a food processor. Pulse for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy. If it seems too thick, add 1-2 teaspoons of olive oil and pulse again.
  2. Add 1 minced garlic clove and the zest of half a lemon. Blend for another 30 seconds until evenly incorporated. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Spoon the whipped ricotta into a shallow serving dish or bowl. Use the back of a spoon to create swirls for a pretty presentation.
  4. Warm up 2 tablespoons (30ml) of hot honey slightly and drizzle it generously over the ricotta. Let it pool into the swirls for visual appeal.
  5. Sprinkle with freshly chopped herbs like parsley, thyme, or chives for a pop of color and added flavor.
  6. Arrange crackers, bread, or veggies around the dish and serve immediately.
