Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry thoroughly with paper towels (2-3 minutes).
  2. Drizzle olive oil over the thighs in a bowl. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Rub seasoning evenly under and over the skin. Let sit 10 minutes if possible.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Place chicken thighs skin-side down in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  5. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12 minutes to crisp the bottom skin.
  6. Flip thighs skin-side up using tongs and cook for another 10-12 minutes until skin is golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. While chicken cooks, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in minced garlic and cook gently for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  8. Transfer cooked chicken to a plate and immediately brush generously with garlic butter.
  9. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the chicken and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
