These easy, 5-ingredient apple pie bombs are golden, crispy, and filled with gooey apple pie filling. Perfect for a quick sweet snack, potlucks, or brunch, they come together in under 30 minutes and are always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough (flaky or homestyle)
  • 1 cup canned apple pie filling (chop large pieces if needed)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Chop apple pie filling into small, bite-sized pieces if needed.
  4. Open canned biscuits and separate. Flatten each biscuit into a 3-inch circle with hands or rolling pin.
  5. Place 1 tablespoon apple pie filling in the center of each biscuit. Bring edges up and pinch tightly to seal, forming a ball.
  6. Brush each sealed bomb with melted butter.
  7. Roll each buttered bomb in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated. Place seam side down on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 16–18 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Check at 15 minutes if your oven runs hot.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature. Optionally, drizzle with extra melted butter or glaze.

Notes

Don’t overfill the bombs to prevent bursting. Seal edges tightly to avoid leaking. For extra crispiness, cool on a wire rack. You can swap apple pie filling for other fruit fillings or use gluten-free/vegan dough and butter for dietary needs. Air fryer method: cook at 350°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.
