A quick and easy homemade snack featuring crispy bagels topped with gooey mozzarella cheese and spicy pepperoni, perfect for any occasion.

  • 4 plain or everything bagels, sliced in half
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
  • About 20 pepperoni slices (regular or turkey)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing bagel edges)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  3. Slice the bagels in half horizontally.
  4. Brush the cut sides lightly with olive oil.
  5. Place the bagel halves cut side up on the baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  6. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce onto each bagel half, spreading evenly.
  7. Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella on top of the sauce.
  8. Layer 4-5 pepperoni slices over the cheese.
  9. Sprinkle dried oregano and garlic powder evenly over the top. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden and bagel edges are crisp.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Notes

Brush bagel edges with olive oil to keep them crispy. Use freshly shredded mozzarella for best melting. Watch the cheese around 8 minutes to avoid burning. Adjust bake time if using convection oven. For vegan or gluten-free options, substitute ingredients accordingly.
