Instructions

  1. Press the tofu: Remove the tofu from its packaging and drain the water. Place it between two plates lined with paper towels, and weigh it down with something heavy like a can or book. Let it press for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cube the tofu: Once pressed, cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes. Aim for even pieces to ensure they cook uniformly.
  3. Coat the tofu: In a mixing bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  4. Prepare the sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil (if using), and red chili flakes. Adjust the seasoning to your taste.
