A quick and easy side dish featuring caramelized corn coated in a rich honey butter glaze, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • Optional garnish: fresh parsley or chives, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and honey. Stir until smooth and set aside.
  2. Place your skillet over medium-high heat. Once it’s hot, add the corn kernels.
  3. Stir the corn occasionally for about 8-10 minutes, or until it starts to caramelize and develop golden-brown edges. If the corn seems dry, add a teaspoon of butter.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the honey butter mixture. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, making sure the corn is evenly coated.
  5. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the corn, adjusting to taste. Stir well to combine.
  6. Remove from heat and, if desired, sprinkle with fresh parsley or chives. Serve warm.

Notes

For best caramelization, use a hot skillet and stir frequently but gently. Adjust sweetness by reducing honey or adding lemon juice. Pat frozen corn dry before cooking to reduce moisture.
