A quick and easy whipped cream cheese fruit dip made with just three simple ingredients. Creamy, fluffy, and perfectly sweet, it pairs beautifully with any fresh fruit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (227 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by taking it out of the fridge about 30 minutes before starting to reach room temperature.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  3. Using a hand or stand mixer, beat on medium speed for about 2-3 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy. If mixing by hand, whisk vigorously for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Stop occasionally to scrape down the bowl with a spatula to ensure even mixing. The dip should be smooth, creamy, and hold soft peaks.
  5. If the dip feels too thick, add a teaspoon of milk or cream and mix again.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more powdered sugar if desired, then whip briefly to combine.
  7. Chill the dip for 15-30 minutes before serving for best flavor, or serve immediately if in a hurry.

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps. Do not overmix to prevent the dip from turning greasy. Powdered sugar dissolves best for a smooth texture. Add a splash of milk or cream if the dip is too thick. Can be made vegan by using dairy-free cream cheese and skipping vanilla extract if it contains alcohol.
