These festive patriotic layered jello shots with vodka are a colorful and fun party treat featuring distinct red, white, and blue layers with a creamy middle and a boozy kick.

  • 1 packet (3 oz / 85 g) Cherry Jello Mix
  • 1 packet (3 oz / 85 g) Blueberry or Blue Raspberry Jello Mix
  • 1 tsp (5 g) Unflavored Gelatin
  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) Vodka
  • 2 cups (475 ml) Water
  • ½ cup (120 ml) Coconut Milk
  • ½ cup (120 ml) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Optional: Fresh Blueberries or Cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Red Layer: Bring 1 cup (240 ml) of water to a gentle boil. Remove from heat and stir in the cherry jello mix until fully dissolved, about 2 minutes. Add ½ cup (120 ml) vodka and stir well. Let cool slightly (about 5 minutes).
  2. Pour the red mixture evenly into 20 shot cups, filling each about one-third full. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm but not rock hard.
  3. Prepare the White Layer: Sprinkle 1 tsp unflavored gelatin over ¼ cup (60 ml) cold water and let bloom for 5 minutes. Heat gently until dissolved.
  4. In another bowl, combine coconut milk and sweetened condensed milk. Stir in the gelatin mixture and ½ cup (120 ml) vodka until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  5. Carefully spoon or pour the white mixture over the red layer in each cup. Refrigerate again for 30 minutes until set.
  6. Prepare the Blue Layer: Dissolve blueberry or blue raspberry jello mix in 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water. Add ½ cup (120 ml) vodka and cool slightly.
  7. Pour the blue mixture gently over the white layer. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until fully set.
  8. Serve chilled with optional fruit garnishes or a small whipped cream dollop.

Notes

Pour each layer slowly over the back of a spoon to prevent mixing. Chill each layer until firm but not rock hard before adding the next. Use cold vodka to help gelatin set better. Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 4 days; best eaten within 2 days. Avoid freezing.
