  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Red bell pepper (cut into a small triangle for the beak and turkey feathers)
  • Yellow bell pepper (cut into feather shapes)
  • Black olives (one for the eyes, sliced in half)
  • Carrot slices (cut into thin sticks for additional feathers)
  • Assorted crackers
  • Baby carrots
  • Sliced apples

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  2. Gather the mixture into a ball using your hands or a spatula. Place the cheese mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap and shape it into a round ball. Wrap the plastic wrap tightly around the ball and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to firm up.
  3. Spread the chopped pecans on a plate. Once the cheese ball is firm, unwrap it and roll it in the pecans until it’s fully coated. Press gently to ensure the pecans stick.
  4. Place the coated cheese ball on your serving platter. Insert pretzel sticks into the back of the ball to create the turkey’s tail feathers. Arrange pieces of red and yellow bell peppers, carrot sticks, and olives around the pretzel sticks to make colorful feathers.
  5. Use a triangle-shaped piece of red bell pepper for the turkey’s beak. Place a slice of black olive on both sides of the beak to make eyes. You can use a small piece of cream cheese to secure these decorations if needed.
  6. Surround the turkey cheese ball with crackers, baby carrots, and apple slices for dipping. Serve chilled and enjoy!
