  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup (226g) of unsalted butter, 1 cup (200g) of light brown sugar, and ½ cup (100g) of granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes with an electric mixer.
  3. Add 2 large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 ¾ cups (345g) of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. Fold in 2 cups (340g) of semi-sweet chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavor and prevent spreading during baking.
  8. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop 2-tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers look slightly underbaked.
