Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (270g) chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (120g) chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/2 cup (100g) toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Beat in eggs, one at a time, followed by vanilla extract. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. Using a spatula, fold in chocolate chips, chopped nuts, and toffee bits.
  7. Scoop out dough using a cookie scoop or two tablespoons. Place scoops on prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
