A quick and easy mint mojito mocktail perfect for summer parties, combining fresh mint, lime juice, sugar, and sparkling water for a light and bubbly refreshment without alcohol.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 medium lime, juiced (about 1 ounce / 30 ml)
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar (or honey/agave syrup as a substitute)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) sparkling water
  • Crushed ice
  • Lime wedges for garnish
  • Optional: a splash of club soda

Instructions

  1. Rinse 10-12 fresh mint leaves under cold water and pat dry gently with a clean towel.
  2. Place the mint leaves and 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar at the bottom of your glass. Using a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon, gently press and twist the mint with the sugar for about 20-30 seconds to release the mint oils without tearing the leaves.
  3. Squeeze the juice of one medium lime (about 1 ounce / 30 ml) into the glass, being careful to catch any seeds. Stir gently to combine with the muddled mint and sugar mixture.
  4. Fill the glass with crushed ice nearly to the top.
  5. Slowly add 1 cup (240 ml) of chilled sparkling water over the ice. Stir gently once or twice to blend all the flavors.
  6. Add a lime wedge and a small sprig of mint on top for garnish. Optionally, slip a straw in and serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid over-muddling the mint to prevent bitterness. Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Crushed ice chills faster and keeps the drink flavorful without diluting too quickly. Chill the glass beforehand for a cooler drink. Adjust sugar to taste or substitute with honey, agave, or stevia.
