A quick and easy virgin frozen strawberry margarita with a spicy-salty Tajin rim, perfect for warm days and alcohol-free enjoyment.

  • 2 cups (300g) frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or agave/maple syrup for vegan option)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) cold water
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
  • Tajin seasoning for rimming glasses
  • Coarse salt (optional, to mix with Tajin)
  • Lime wedges for rimming glasses

Instructions

  1. Pour Tajin seasoning onto a small plate. Rub the rim of each glass with a lime wedge to moisten it. Dip the rims into the Tajin, pressing gently to coat evenly. Set aside.
  2. Add frozen strawberries, fresh lime juice, and honey into a blender. Pour in cold water to help blending. Pulse a few times to combine.
  3. Add ice cubes depending on desired slushiness. Blend on high until smooth and fluffy with a thick, icy texture.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more honey if needed. If too thick, add a splash of water and pulse again.
  5. Pour the margarita into prepared glasses. Garnish with a lime wedge or fresh strawberry if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

If blender struggles with frozen fruit, let strawberries sit out for 5 minutes before blending. Don’t overfill blender. Use pulse mode first then blend continuously for smooth texture. For vegan version, substitute honey with agave or maple syrup. Tajin rim adds a spicy-salty contrast that enhances flavor.
